Project Description

“Museum of Emotions: Gaza war” which is located in Gaza city at the Mediterranean Sea, immortalizes Palestinians sacrifices and tragedies by simulating war feelings that Palestinians of Gaza had lived through the several attacks they faced in order to save their land and lives, using the architectural design strategies to simulate this experience. This museum is designed to be after liberation, so that Gaza visitors live some of what Gazans had experienced and to remined the coming generations of what their ancestors had faced.

The spaces of the museum were determined based on interviews and videos of Gazans describing the war and their feelings, which were mainly: Fear, Loss, Anger, Grief, Hope and Freedom, noting that the circulation of this museum flows sequentially as the order of the feelings to meet the description of Gazans and enhance the visitor experience. Designing with the five senses, each separate hall in this museum expresses one of the above-mentioned feelings and these halls are connected through paths to simulate the experience of the repeated displacement that Gazans are facing, each of these paths also has its own experience.
