Food security, as defined by the United Nations’ Committee on World Food Security, means that all people, always, have physical, social, and economic access to sufficient, safe, and nutritious food that meets their food preferences and dietary needs for an active and healthy life.
Over time, the genetic development of crops has been done spontaneously and does not have any major impact on the level of small communities and villages, but with the progress of technology and the enlargement of societies and the restriction of the farming profession on a small group of individuals, genetic development on crops and seeds became necessary, specifically with the emergence of many new viruses.
This project aims to Enrich and develop the genetic content of grains in Jordan and enhance the role of culture and society in this operation.
