Project description
Every day, the population grows dramatically. As a natural result, food demand is increasing, and
food availability is gradually decreasing. The world will suffer a major crisis; People do not recognize
the importance of food, do not care about the future, they are slowly destroying the planet. If we do
not start building lamps of hope now, the future will be dark. We should start creating the lamps of
our future together.
As a result, having an agricultural awareness project makes people get to play an important role in
the preservation and protection of agriculture, which will prosper in the future. The Agricultural
Research Centre was a well-thought-out conclusion to an educational, entertaining, and
conservational project designed to be an internationally recognized facility specializing in agricultural
research and activities intended to benefit Jordan and its unique resources.
The project will be divided into three main zones. administration zone, knowledge zone, agriculture
and research zone. The Agriculture and research zone will be the most important zone which
includes the heart of the project (seeds bank zone) with (Water facilities zone) and the (Research
zone) .
A project that supplies the community with food is only a temporary solution, to a long-term
solution. The first step is finding a solution to regulate agriculture in the region through educating
the community. A generation responsible for the importance of food for the future of our well-being, to be able to reflect positively on their own communities; Agricultural Research Centre is a
place that works alongside local farmers in the area. in order to raise awareness of the importance
of agriculture in general. The project also educates about the importance of food and proper water
collection. Aiming to help solve the future food problem, as Jordan is among the countries that
depend on exports and cannot produce its own food. A project that acts as a warning system for
surrounding changes, a place that can adapt and has the ability to grow over time.
The Agricultural Research Centre also aims to revitalize the Sabha area in order for it to become the
Jordanian agricultural capital, as is currently subjected to severe neglect and unorganized
agriculture, as well as unfair water withdrawal. These issues must be addressed by the local
community. A long-term solution to bring life back to the region, so that the story of Sabha, with its
soil and water, can spread to the rest of the region and become a reason for Jordan’s agricultural
prosperity.
