Project Description

This project is envisioned as a cultural and creative hub that bridges Jordan’s heritage with the possibilities of modern technology. It reinterprets tradition through immersive storytelling, interactive exhibitions, and hands-on workshops, transforming cultural practices into living experiences. Each zone is thematically curated to reflect aspects of Jordanian identity whether through “Sufra,” celebrating traditional food in a shared dining setting; “San’aa,” where artisans and visitors create crafts together; or “Destinations,” which showcases the diversity of Jordan’s cities. Complementing these cultural spaces are digital workshops, creative labs, and production studios, where technology becomes a tool to preserve, reinterpret, and expand the reach of heritage.

The design weaves seamlessly into the natural slope, using rammed earth masses, shaded pathways, and courtyards inspired by Jordan’s urban fabric. Digital projections, interactive walls, and subtle technological layers enrich the visitor journey, making each experience dynamic and constantly evolving. Visitors may encounter new exhibitions, shifting projections, or changing installations, ensuring that every visit feels unique.

Beyond being an exhibition space, the project also functions as a production center, supporting young creators, researchers, and local artisans. It provides educational opportunities, community empowerment, and a platform for cultural tourism, aligning with Jordan’s vision for economic and cultural growth.

Ultimately, the project is more than a building, it is a living cultural landscape. It preserves traditions, celebrates identity, and offers innovative ways to engage with history, ensuring heritage remains meaningful for both present and future generations.
