In the morning of 1991, when the sun just had risen, children were joyfully playing and dreaming of a colorful futures. However, in a matter of moments the tranquility was shattered and an unimaginable tragedy unfolded before their eyes. an ominous voice reverberated, signaling the arrival of destruction. It was a terrifying voice, a heartbreaking voice that came to take colorful dreams He had come to awake death angel. The Ba’ath regime’s launched a brutal assault on its people, showed peak of its oppression, bombarded Koya, leading to a day of unspeakable horror. resulting in a massacre that took away innocent lives and left families broken and grieving. Hell appeared on earth, leaving flesh and blood mingled together on the streets, the anguished cries of children searching for their mothers pierced the air, their colorful dreams now turned to ashes. This catastrophic event, left immeasurable grief in its wake. Some lost their hands and feet, while others lost their lives, leaving families broken This massacre etched a painful memory in the hearts of survivors, especially those who lost their loved ones. Among the victims were seven children from a single family, with five perishing and two left disabled, their lives forever altered. that was my family.

Challenge

Disability in the aftermath of the tragedy became synonymous with shattered dreams and lost opportunities. they faced not only physical challenges but also the weight of societal misconceptions. Unfortunately, disability in our country is the cause of lose hopes and dreams, leading to collapse Their personality. They were blamed for a fate they had no control over, their personalities fading into invisibility. Discrimination and lack of rights further compounded their suffering, pushing them to the margins of society. Amidst the devastation, they found therselves grappling with an uncertain future.Their living bodies became prisons of hopelessness, and many struggled with mental disorders, caught in a cycle of despair. They were not just physically impaired; their spirits were shattered, and society’s prejudices cast them aside, rendering them invisible. Their dreams and aspirations, once vibrant and full of life, were buried beneath the weight of misjudgment and discrimination. while they are breathing, their living bodies are painted dead. issued them dead identities. However, amidst this darkness, a flicker of light emerged. from my family impacted by this tragedy, found solace in the strength of my disabled siblings and was inspired to bring about change. so i decided to design a center that would not only cater to physical rehabilitation but also provide a nurturing environment for personal growth and creativity. that would empower those affected by disability. I have sought to challenge societal norms and grant the disabled the dignity and respect they deserved. The center aimed to create opportunities for those who were denied them, restoring their identities and rekindling the flames of their aspirations. It is a symbol of hope rising from the ashes of tragedy, a place where broken spirits can mend, and dreams can be reignited.

Biophilic

Biophilic design is indeed a fantastic approach, especially for a rehabilitation center, as it focuses on integrating nature and natural elements into the built environment, fosters a deeper connection with nature, which can have numerous benefits for the well-being and recovery of the individuals using the space. Biophilic design is known to have positive effects on people’s mental and physical health. it helps the handicap to better cope with the situation in which they are because biophilic is love to life, and that is affects their brain This restores their love and hope for life by giving them some feelings instead of the ones they have lost, thus restoring confidence They return to society and face the difficulties in better way.
