Project Description
This project helps children to live like others (a house that carries warmth and love, a school to teach and raise them, as well as recreational zones to raise their minds and grow).
The project consists of 125 houses divided according to age groups. Each house contains 4 children with a nanny, a primary school and some workshops for teenagers and most importantly That’s open areas for playing and farming.
The concept
A Baghdadi house that carries the local identity was designed in a modern way by merging the principle of the lego with the principles of the Baghdadi house
(presence of a central courtyard, an isolated area for vertical movement and the level of the house from the outside)
In the same way, the other parts of village were designed, including schools,
workshops, and places for recreational activities, with the use of local materials such as bricks to highlight the Iraqi identity in the design and the use treatments for ventilation and natural lighting
using parametric break
The advantage of this wall is that it
isolates heat well and enters an amount of natural light without direct sunlight through pieces of glass installed in
brick spaces, thus achieving sustainability
Recycling water
to reduce water consumption, especially with the crisis that Iraq is suffering from, so we must go to simple solutions to
rationalize water consumption
green surfaces
Being one of the most important ways of sustainability, it lowers the temperature of the building and thus reduces energy
expenditure, as well as having a good
impact on the quality of the air entering the building and reduces its pollution.
